Divine Documentaries
YouTube documentary scripts · Research · Content strategy
Divine Documentaries explores biblical stories, religious history, angelology, and spiritual symbolism. I worked as the channel’s lead scriptwriter and content strategist, developing documentary episodes alongside titles, descriptions, keywords, and guidance for the video editor.
Featured video: Jeremiah, the Weeping Prophet
This episode required research into Jeremiah’s historical and cultural context, shaped into a documentary script with a clear narrative arc.
My role
I researched biblical texts, historical context, and theological interpretations, drawing on canonical and non-canonical sources where relevant. Scripts typically ran 1,500–2,000 words and included voiceover direction, on-screen text, scripture references, visual suggestions, and transitions.
I also developed episode titles, descriptions, keywords, and hashtags, and delivered editor-ready scripts with a consistent structure across the channel’s themed series.
Approach
The central challenge was making complex religious subjects accessible while keeping the research and narrative clear. I used documentary story arcs to guide each episode and included visual and audio cues to support the editor’s work.
