About the project
I wrote the script for a documentary on Karma Deki, Bhutan’s first female filmmaker and director. The project premiered at the Rubin Museum in New York on June 16, 2024, and explores her journey, challenges, and contributions to the Bhutanese film industry.
The documentary highlights her work as President of Women in Film and Television, Bhutan, and CEO of Bhutan Reel Stories, including her dedication to inclusivity, community values, and the transformative power of storytelling.
