I’m Amanda Pimenta, a writer and filmmaker based in North Carolina. I’ve always been a little overly obsessed with stories, whether I’m writing one of my own or trying to understand why a film or television show works so well.
My work spans fiction, film and television scripts, documentaries, and commercial writing. I help people develop their ideas through research, worldbuilding, character development, outlines, scripts, and revisions. I’m especially drawn to the personal side of storytelling: the choices people make, the relationships that shape them, and the things they struggle to say.
I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Full Sail University. My experience includes ghostwriting fiction, writing documentary and YouTube scripts, and publishing film and television articles with MovieWeb. I also write essays about stories on Substack.
Right now, I’m focusing on books and writing for film and television, alongside collaborations that give someone’s story room to take shape.
